Some days

Earlier today I was having discussion with one of my colleague and he mentioned that all his three cars broke on this weekend and he had to tow two of them over 30 miles. So are you getting where I am going? I feel that there are days which are quite terrifying like this and there are also equally brighter days. I just do not get why such coincidences happen to make some days a very good day or a very bad day, but they do happen. Probably stars get alligned or get tangled on such days.

Well looks like I am having some brighter days. There are few things happening good on my side, though not yet concrete. I will definitely let you know once everything gets settled.

I just told my colleague that probably 3 good things are about to happen to him on one good day 'quite oppositely similar' to three cars going down on one day...that brought a big hope and a smile on his face.

Boston

I am in Boston this weekend and I am enjoying like crazy. It was fun meeting some old friends and also trying Golf. Golf looked to me interesting and fun sport, hope I do it more often. On top of Golf I scored my highest in Bowling (164) though lost to Arekh (175). And after 3 hours of poker I gained back from my loss, just to know that I made ZERO dollars! It was just fascinating that i made exactly nothing.

Well, here are my latest lines. I thought I should add english words to my verse, and thus here is my latest crazy poem...

To all my Crushes:

Barastha pani Ice banjaye,
Garajtha badal Calm hojaye,
Bijli ko Shock lagjaye,
Mera dil ka Bulb glow hojaye.

Hope it brings a smile..

Gang of four

Am so glad that now I have two of my closest cousions and brother in US. I was all alone for three years and suddenly in a year I have company of three people. So, now we are Gang Of Four. Welcome Swathi...hope you are enjoying your first day.

Lyrics: Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK)

Lyrics are the life line of the any song. I am always been fan of good lyrics and I hate the songs which do not make any sense. I try to go through the lyrics if I start to like the song. Ironically there are many songs which are either music based or video based and have not much of meaning nor sense. These lyrics are good to read and to remember so that you do not make such mistake if you want to write up some day ;)

Well, I recently started listening to Kabhi alvida na kehna's title song. Its quite impressive lyrics and after you listen the song for 3-4 times, you start liking it..something which usually happens with A.R.Rehman's songs.

Let me see if I can critic this song....this would be first of its kind that am trying to write up.

here are the lyrics that I found online (I have corrected the typos)....as time goes on, I will add my comments on the lines...

Lyricist: Javed Akhtar (one of my favorite)

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna
Tum ko bhi hai khabar
Mujhko bhi hai pata

First time listeners would expect more from lyrics as Khabar and Pata do not rhyme, but you wont feel it after a while

Ho raha hai judaa
Dono ka raasta
Definetly situational
Dur jaake bhi mujhse tum meri yaadon mein rehna
This is the most important phrase of the whole song.
The beauty of this line is that even though you are referencing this line to other person, you are implying it to yourself; to remember and not to forget!

Its a huge difference from a usual line like "Dur jaake bhi mujshe, mujhe yaad rakhna".

Kabhi alvida na kehna
Kabhi alvida na kehna

Jitni thi khushiyaa
Sab kho chuki hai
Bas ek gham hai ki jaata nahi
jaata nahin
Samjha ke dekha behla ke dekha
Dil hai ki chain isko aata nahi
Aansun hai ki hai angarayee

Definetly you can relate tears to angarayee but here it creates much more sense with the next line, though redundant.

I wonder how the lyrcist gets involved into the poem. Its tough to write up without being in that situation. I know its the skill and that is why they are famous, but definetly appreciable.

Aag hai kab aankhon se behna

Kabhi alvida na kehna
Kabhi alvida na kehna
Rut aa rahi hai
Rut jaa rahi hai
Dard ka mausam badla nahi
Rang yeh haalka itna hai gehra
Sadiyon main hoga halka nahi

Lovely line....this brings out the complete picturisque representation of the song...sadiyon main hoga halka nahi....shows the gravity of the pain and you can relate all the feelings as if you are looking at the painting...

Halka nahi
Kaun jaane kya hona hai
Hum ko hai ab kya kya sehna
Kabhi alvida na kehna
Kabhi alvida na kehnaa

Tum ko bhi hai khabar
Mujhko bhi hai pata
Ho raha hai judaa
Dono ka raasta
Dur jaake bhi mujhse tum meri yaadon main rehna
Kabhi alvida na kehna
kabhi alvida na kehna

Photography: Reflection and Balance

(view it in enlarged mode before you read)

I have noticed that some of my interests are temporal and some are sinusoidal (they surface sporadically). And one of my craze is for photography. I tried to learn it from time to time but it's still very basic. Whenever I think too much to take a photo, I have ended up spoiling it. The best one's are always quick shots ruled by my instincts.

This is one of blogable photographs amongst my zillion photography shoots..

I like it because it has good reflection and the color balance of the sky and water to the train tracks and reflection is quite appropriate...kind of being in symphony..

So, far this is the most appreciated photo from my colleagues as it hangs in my office cube...

Define: Happiness

I feel the most complex word in dictionary is to define Happiness. It can be so different from one person to other and can change any number of times in one's life. Today I might feel happy about something and the same may bore me tomorrow.

Since some time I been thinking that how much time an average human is happy. If anybody is even happy for quarter of the life, I would say he has lived his life (obviously without counting the amazing childhood part). The biggest problem with humans is to understand the worth of whatever they have and to find happiness in it. Its always that he needs more or he is not happy with whatever he has.

Somebody defined Happiness as "Happiness is a journey and not a destination" very apt. To stay happy across the journey of life is to feel satisfied with what he has and finding worth of what all he owns.

Happiness can be from family, friends, health, wealth, nature, time, entertainment, food, sex, travel, being lavish, pride, power, past, making jealous, sadism!, fans, beer, achievement, victory and or any combination of these or many more...

If everybody can find what they have from above list and forget what they do not have from the list....probably that could make them happy...

I wish I can make atleast one person happy everyday...(I know that ONE person for most of the time will be myself ;))

Cheers,
